A hidden gem! We ordered their sashimi platter and the quality of the fish was impressive. They easily could fit more tables in the dining room but opted to keep more room for their guests, which I appreciate!!! We spent around $100 and definitely would have spent $200 had we gone somewhere else.

Got some sushi to go from here, and we really enjoyed it. Will def be coming back in the future. The inside looked full but they did have some open seats at the countertop. I'm not sure if they usually let people dine in there or just waiting for to go orders. Haven't tried ramen but it appears to be popular there.

Sakana has been my go to Ramen and sushi joint. The owners are super awesome servers are very nice. If you've not tried their food, you must go. Ramen is always amazing. The Noodles are always fresh in the perfect chew. If you're a fan of Curry, try the curry Ramen best in town no questions asked. My girlfriend love the sushi specifically the Unagi and fatty tuna. Also, if you're going get the Takayuki.

Delicious food at a super affordable price! It's a small space so there might be a wait for a table but it is well worth it. All of the staff were absolutely wonderful and the food came out quickly. The sushi was fresh and simple, which is the way good sushi should be. Don't sleep on visiting Sakana if you're in the Denver area!

Being in the center of the states, sushi can be pretty meh. However, Sakana was quite delicious. It was quite busy when we got there but found seating quickly. The sushi tasted fresh and it was delicious. The unagi and fatty tuna were tasty. The fried chicken was nicely crisped so it's quite crunchy with each bite. The takoyaki was super flavorful and you can taste a nice blend of the sauce with the batter and the octopus. Just delicious little bite. The ramen was pretty good. It wasn't a standout. My bf recommends the curry ramen next time so if you're looking for a recommendation, I would try that. It's quite spacious and nicely decorated. Staff is friendly. Food comes out quick. Can't complain much.

After a long hard week of moving into our new place, we stopped at Sakana. First things first, do not let the exterior fool you - the interior has such a cute, neutral, clean and foresty vibe. It is warm and inviting and even the music that is playing is pleasant. On a Thursday evening we were sat almost immediately and our serve was at the table within minutes taking our food order. Our server was Jared and he was absolutely delightful! He was extremely knowledgeable about the menu, anticipated our asks and for the one small mistake that did happen (our daughter's tuna roll had wasabi on it - it comes that way and we didn't know) he was very quick to have it adjusted and so kind. Now onto the food: We ordered: - Pork Gyoza 5/5 - Spicy Miso Ramen 3.5/5 - Spicy Tuna Rolls 3/5 - Crunch Spicy Tuna Roll 4/5 - Tuna Roll 5/5 The Pork Gyoza is just as everyone says, amazingly delicious and cooked to perfection. It had the perfect balance of flavor. The broth of the Spicy Miso Ramen was delicious, we have been searching for a good spicy ramen, and while the broth on this one met our expectations, the other additions (egg and bok choy, pork and noodles) did not retain the flavor well. The spicy tuna was not spicy at all, I almost thought to ask if we had accidentally received the regular tuna. However, it was extremely fresh and still had good flavor. The crunchy spicy tuna had a bit more flavor, not so much spice, but flavorful in its additions. Lastly - the tuna roll, again very fresh, but it served with wasabi if you do not ask for it off - not my cup of tea, but could be excellent for the target audience. For all of this we spent less than $100 including drinks. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our experience and would come back for the service alone.

We came here for lunch on a Sunday and we were able to get a table right away. We got the dragon roll California roll and a specialty roll plus Unagi Nigri. Everything was tasty. The service was really good. Prices were OK and restaurant had nice decor. Good sushi if you're nearby but nothing to travel for.

I've been to this place twice now and had really good experiences! I've never had the sushi here, but I love going to this spot for Japanese comfort food. Entrées are $11-$17, so it's a great place to have a nice dinner without breaking the bank. I would recommend coming early since the restaurant is small and tends to fill up quickly. The appetizers are great, most notable are chicken karage, takoyaki, and gyoza. I absolutely love the Ramen here! The broth is flavorful and noodles are never overcooked. You can tell they put a lot of love into their Ramen! The curry beef bowl is rich in flavor and so hearty. To make it more filling, I'd recommend adding a cutlet because it's mostly curry sauce over rice. They offer competitive pricing for drinks as well. You can get sake for $4-$7 and large Japanese beer for $7. They have wine, but I don't believe they serve cocktails here. Overall, a lovely tucked-away spot where food is made with a lot of love!

What a find! Came here last night based on Yelp! reviews. This is a true hidden gem and so glad I found it. Inside very quaint, clean and well lit. Staff here is awesome and for sure 5 star! Super friendly , knowledgeable and really made this a 5 star experience. For food I started off with the karaage chicken and while a little different than what I am used to but regardless it was delicious. I had the spicy miso ramen with added chayu, seasoned pork and added egg. Normally most ramen comes with an egg but this is a little $$$ either way this was so delicious! Can't even explain how fresh and amazing is was. What a great experience on a hidden gem located in a non obscure strip mall in the corner but it was worth every bite. Will for sure be back!
